History

Generation Life officially began its outreach to youth with a summer leadership conference at Drexel University during the summer of 2000. At this conference 200 students rallied together to form the first group of Gen Lifers in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area. Based on the success of this conference, the leadership at Generation Life decided that it was necessary to outreach to youth on a more fulltime basis. So in the fall of 2001, following a second successful summer leadership conference at Villanova University, Generation Life began to outreach to area schools (public, private and parochial) with the hiring of a fulltime workforce. Since 2001, Generation Life has invited over 100,000 young people throughout the Philadelphia and tri-state area to embrace the message of saving sex for marriage.

"In viewing abortion in America as the fallout from the sexual revolution, Generation Life smartly focuses on changing young people's attitudes towards sex. By making the case for chastity and by encouraging teenagers to lead virtuous lives, Generation Life is unique among pro-life organizations in attacking the problem of abortion at its root cause."

"The disastrous consequences of the sexual revolution are all around us, and no one has suffered from this ill-conceived project more than America's young people. Thankfully, Generation Life is at the forefront of the effort to rebuild a culture of character and virtue among the rising generation. Their work gives me great hope for the future of this great country."
