Generation Life is committed to building a culture of life by spreading the truth that every human person is worthy of love. Our missionary program will form young adults into peaceful leaders in the Pro-Life movement while fostering hope in our community through educating students, parents, and teachers on the dignity of human life and the virtue of chastity. By inspiring the next generation to embrace life and love authentically, we will end abortion at its root cause.

Requirements

for our missionary candidates

The primary role of the missionaries is to deliver our presentations (Pro-Life presentation, Chastity talk, Dating with Dignity presentation) to grade school (7th grade and up), high school, and college students. They will also volunteer at pregnancy centers and local Pro-Life or youth events. Additionally, they will participate in furthering our podcast (future!) & social media outreach.

We are looking for two men and two women ages 18-25 for an initial commitment of 1 year beginning June 2026. Our general requirements are that you must have a car and be located within an hour of Conshohocken. Our specific requirements are: a personal relationship with God and an active role in the Catholic faith, a passion for Catholic teaching, specifically that of the Pro-Life mission, confidence and experience in public speaking, strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on professionalism and friendliness, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, knowledge of calendar management, support various departments with administrative tasks as needed.

SCHEDULE

Overview

The Generation Life Missionary program is set to launch on June 1, 2026. The missionaries will spend the majority of the summer in training to prepare them for their speaking engagements throughout the school year. Their schedule will be managed on an “as needed” basis. Some examples of Gen Life engagements are: presentations at CCD’s, youth groups, middle schools, high schools, pro-life clubs, and college campuses, tabling at local events such as Johnny’s Run for Life, Abbeyfest, Pro Life Union Dinner, pro life leadership conferences, Villanovans for Life events, etc., fundraising talks which speaking during/after Masses to request donations, hosting events such as the Christmas Party, Mother Daughter Tea, and Beach Outreach, community building efforts to connect with the other Pro-Life and Diocesan organizations, as well as building a vibrant and engaging digital presence, and administrative tasks related to fundraising, scheduling, mailing, and media. We expect that our missionaries will find the schedule to be challenging but not overwhelming.

WEekly schedule

The weekly schedule will include a full team/staff Mass and check-in day, as well as up to 3 speaking engagements. Other potential engagements will include abortion clinic witness, tasks, volunteer efforts, formation, etc. and will operate on an “as scheduled” basis.

WEekEND schedule

Weekend engagements will include speaking opportunities at CCD/prep/youth groups as well as fundraising talks or community events. Missionaries will only be schedule to work up to two weekends per month.

Time Off

Missionaries will have the opportunity to request up to 2 weeks of yearly vacation on a notice of 2 months in advance. Missionaries will receive 1 week of time off during the fall (TBD) and 1 week of time off during the spring (Easter) so as to make up for the time spent on Gen Life weekend commitments. They will also be granted off from December 24 until January 2, as well as on all major holidays.

Highlights

Some highlights of the Generation Life calendar year are Beach Outreach (June 11-16), our Syracuse Tour (mid fall), our NY tour (winter), TOB Institute Retreat/Formation, Pro Life Christmas Party (December), Seek (Jan 2027), National Pro Life Summit and March for Life (Jan 2027), and our Mother Daughter Tea.

TRAINING

Practical and spiritual formation

We will provide extensive summer training for our missionaries, during which they will receive a comprehensive education on the following topics: the mission and culture of Generation Life, fundraising, public speaking, faith formation in the Gen Life charisms, Theology of the Body/Pro-Life formation, and finally on our specific speaking content.

Logistics

Housing

We ask that our missionaries determine their own housing. We will provide them assistance in finding housing by referring them to Catholic young adult housing if need be. Our only requirement is that they live within one hour of Conshohocken and that they have their own car.

Financial Information

Our missionaries will be given an initial stipend to help them navigate finding housing and beginning their fundraising. Our missionaries will be trained on how to fundraise, and their goal will be to fundraise $40-45k. Generation Life will also grant them a monthly charitable stipend.
